KIMEP will become full of ART from 2 till 5 of December.

Art exhibition organized by Art student organization will become a main event from the begging of the week.

KARANDASH organization is accustomed to organize once a semester the Art exhibition. Each of exhibitions has different character and direction. This year the main idea of Art festival is student’s fight against: Aids, drugs, starvation and smoking. Besides exhibition, all members of organization will actively participate in several events that will be held on campus.

But still exhibition is the main part of Art festival. This year domain part are pictures of young photographers, all of them are KIMEP student. All of them are representatives of modern art. All of them can find interesting, amazing and unusual things everywhere.

Art student organization during three days preparing special style of exhibition, they put all their force to fully change the appearance of fun club. This year the idea of style is very extraordinary.

So, all photographers and KARANDASH members hope to bright some bright moment and a little bit art in life of KIMEP student and professors.

As a conclusion of making work, there will be big concert in Great hall with life music, and many interesting performances.

Mister Kimep…My experience)))

If you are a student of KIMEP, you must know that there was a competitions between boys by the name of Mister Kimep. It was November 28, this show was the first concert of Mister Kimep in the history of Kimep life. Although there were a little money gave by Kimep administration to held this party, the concert was very bright and unforgetable. All boys tried to make their best and show everything that they can do, one of the boys sing song for his girlfriend, another dance, next wrote a poem and so on. There was a very good decision to give awards for everybody, each boy has taken his award. What is according awards, they were really nice, fror instance Mister Kimep can buy clothes on the summ 5000$ in particular shop. Second Vice Mister Kimep receive trip to Turkey on 10 days.

Also during the concert there were some artists and just students who can show there talant. I was in that number of student. I and my five friedns decided to take part in this concert. We were singing the song called ‘Sway”, three of us were singing and another three were dancing. It was unforgetable, i have a lot of differnt feelings during the concert, at frst it was some kind of scarity and then i just relax and enjoe our singing and dancing. I want to say thank for all students who made this show.

For me, personally there are two categories of art films. First category are those films, which is about human soul, complicated feelings of characters, psychological crisis or specific extraordinary way of life. It doesn’t mean that these films are only about feelings of that very character, because usually filmmakers tend to express that all people are able to feel that, and tries to make audience to feel the same, tries to touch us. The second category are social art films, those films, which talks about people not as about personalities, but as about a society. Such films usually tries to show us particular horrible sides of our society, intolerance, discrimination, etc.

I decided to write this post about this second category of films, because yesterday I was extremly impressed by film of korean director Lee Chang-dong called “Oasis”. The film is about love between oddish guy, who just got out from the prison, and a beautiful girl. Everything is ok, despite the fact that nobody understands their love, because the girl is ill with cerebral palsy. The movie shows their tremendous tender love and as a contrast the attitude of his family to this strange relationship. There is an incredible episode, when he brings her to the birthday party of his mother, and everyone of the guests looks to this girl, like she is not a human being at all!!! The episode itself is quite calm, but everything inside me was shouting!!! This is what I call art of filmmaking. This film is not rational and rude, it is noticeable that author do not only think that discrimination of disabled people is disgusting phenomena, but he FEELS so! Seems that he feels the same pain for those groups of people who are discriminated by society.

Also as I know ‘Harvey Milk” by Sean Penn is already on screens. Kazakhstani premier of the film is tomorrow. This film is also one of those arguing about social aspects. The film is a story of the first representative of sexual minorities who was elected to the some government position in San-Francisco. I havn’t watched the film yet. But I was told that it is worth to see it. So I recommend all of us too. May be after watching this film some of us will leave their biases (if they had previously. I hope nobody)

Previose we spoke with you abuot ballet its histoty…I think ballet is the most difficult dance,why? Because firs of all you want to become ballerin you should to reduse from many things: food, free time, may be mettings wit freinds and etc…You should spend a lot of time training,felling pain, sometimes you suffer from blood on your legs because of ballet pumps…Some people give up this hobby because it demands strong charachter…So I also spent 2 years fo ballet… but now I want to speak about ballet in Kazakstan. espesially about Maria Eichwald.

In oder to know and understand every dance we should know the history of it. Until about the second half of the 19th century the role of music in ballet was secondary, with main emphasis being on dance, with music being a compilation of danceable tunes. Writing “ballet music” used to be a job for musical craftsmen, rather than for masters. For example, critics of Tchaikovsky mentioned his writing of ballet music as something demeaning.From the earliest ballets up to the time of Lully (1632–1687), the music of ballet was indistinguishable from ballroom dance music. Lully created a style that was separate, wherein the music told a story. The first “Ballet d’action” was staged in 1717. This was a story told without any words. The pioneer was John Weaver (1673–1760). Both Lully and Rameau wrote “opera-ballets”, where the story was party danced and partly sung, but ballet music became gradually less important. The next big step occurred in the early years of the 19th century, when principal dancers changed from using hard shoes to ballet pumps.

Until the time of Tchaikovsky the composer of ballets was considered to be separate from the composer of symphonies. In many cases ballets were still short scenes within operas, to enable scenery to change, or singers to change costume. Perhaps the best-known example of ballet music which is part of an opera is “Dance of the Hours” from Ponchielli’s opera “Gioconda” (1876). In 1924 Antheil wrote “Ballet Mechanique”. This was actually for a film of moving objects, not for dancers, but it was used some elements of jazz music. From this point ballet music split into two directions—modernism and jazz-dance.

Concerning jazz-dance is best represented by the choreographer Jerome Robbins who worked with Leonard Bernstein on “West Side Story” (1957). In some respects this is a return to “opera-ballet”, since the story is mostly told in words. Modernism is best represented by Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet”. Here the story is pure ballet, and there is no influence from jazz, or any kind of popular music. Another aspect in the history of ballet music, is the trend towards creative adaptions of old music. Respighi took works by Rossini (1792–1868) and strung them together into a ballet called “La Boutique Fantasque”, premiered in 1919. The audience for ballet generally prefers romantic music, so new ballets are confected by a marriage of old works with new choreography.

Cartoonish caricatures

Nowadays one of the most popular kind of caricatures is cartoonish. People like to see how they would be look like, if they were cartoons. This way is easy and fast to draw, and all exaggerations are not so agly. So it is drawing when evebody happy, especially children. The biggest effect artist can achive drawing cartoonish caricatures with airbrush, it brings vivid sense. To be catoon does not mean to b only on TV, just ask some artist to draw you!

Show Time is a concert of talants in KIMEP, every student, after casting can show his or her talant. I was at this concert in 2007 and I was very glad and proud of how this concert was organized, it was realy amazing and bright! All partisipants made there best, there were no losers, all were the winers. There were some guests like kazak group #101 and Nagima Eskalieva. I hope in this year we can visit this consert too,usually, it is organised in spring, so we are waiting for the Show)

This summer i started to see people in fanny way. I open ability to analize their faces.

I studied how to draw caricatures. Of course still I can not called myself caricature artist, but this expireince brought a lot of bright moments working with people and i studied a great list of new technique.

This summer i went to United States, CS, the city which called Myrtle Beach.A small romantic place which located on the beach. Whole summer was full of tourists, local people and students all over the world, and all of them everyday tried to catch their portion af sun and pleasure. And we are, students with our great theacher artist every single day were drawing people. I can not even count right now how many people i draw, but if I would meet each of them I could recognize him or her at moment.

Firts days when i started to draw, i draw each diffrent detail of face of my customers, i had huge fear, to say the truth…..But day by day my spead and qualty became better and better,behind my back i heard more and more that i am talented. I saw how people smiling and laughing on my portrats and i had wish to draw more fannier. But in my soul i also was laughing on them at the momemt when they sat dawn in front of me. I was laughing at their big noses, diffrent eyes and small ears. Why? Be couse i had great opportunity to make them bigger, smaller, the way i want. I took great pleasure to make people smile on themselves.

To be caricature artist means to make this world a little bit brighter, to make people thing that all of us are very diffrent and funny. I really thing that to draw caricatures is one of amazing and kind profession. And people who do not care about money and achivements and just draw for their souls are real artists. And I am very proud that i had opportunity to bring this pleasure to my soul.

I hope these video won your favour…………I share with you that my dream is to be a organizator of weddings!!!!!!!! I get thet this event in everybody’s life is main immportant. It shoud be creat as wonderful, nice, happy, inocent as it possible. It should be done on the yightest level, be organized by the newly-married couple with wish. at the first time. They should participate in this event and brings guests and themselves holliday!!!! And wedding dance is the first real step in family life……….it dance of tender,loving people and i think from it depends their happy future life!!!!!!!!!!!!!
